About the Paul Harvey Archives
This website is dedicated to the infamous storyteller Paul Harvey (1918-2009) who entertained people from 1951 until his death in 2009.
This is an UNOFFICIAL archive of clips that were recorded off the radio by the webmaster and collected from various websites on the Internet. This website has no affiliation whatsoever with ABC News/ABC Radio/Citadel Broadcasting/Citadel Media.
I'm just collecting what is out there and putting it in one location for people to listen to.
We welcome your comments, suggestions and most importantly - your submissions. Please click on the Contact link above.
FAQ:
Q: Who are you?
A: A fan of Paul Harvey. Probably just like you. I just wanted to have a repository for others to share with their desire to listen to Paul Harvey audio clips. I have no affiliation whatsoever with Mr. Harvey, ABC Radio, etc.
Q: Where did you get all this stuff?
A: Some of it was recorded by the webmaster, some of it was collected via the Internet. A number of the Paul Harvey News and Comment files came straight from ABC Radio's Paul Harvey website. The Rest of the Story stories came from various sites and collected into one place (this site!).
Q: How do I listen to these clips?
A: All the Paul Harvey files on the site are standard MP3 files. Use your standard MP3 players to listen to them (WinAmp, Windows Media Player, etc.). Once you have them on your computer, it's up to you on how you want to play them, burn them to a CD, etc.
Most of these are stored on an off-site "cloud server". This was done to save storage space on the main server. Just click on the links, download the ZIP files to your computer and uncompress them.
These MP3 files are compressed in standard ZIP format. Use WinZip, PKZip or 7-Zip to decompress them.
Please note that these ZIP files are password protected to prevent bots from grabbing them and reposting them. (I want all the traffic to come here first.)
Q: Why are these pages so plain?
A: I'm more concerned about content than style. Why make this all fancy when this is just an index of Paul Harvey's accomplishments that I'm sharing for the general public to listen to?
It's the audio files I'm concerned about. Visual is all in your mind (which is the way Paul Harvey would have intended it to be!).
